Day 1 of 12 Days of Self-Love: Eat Your Greens

One day or day one, you decide.

Today begins 12 Days of Self-Love! A daily does of extra love for your body, mind, and soul throughout the holidays. My hope in these daily posts/emails is to help inspire you to take a little extra time this season to take care of yourself, thus allowing you to better take care of those around you, and to be that bright beacon of light the world needs.

Today the goal is to add a little extra greens to your day! While I love green juices and smoothies, I don’t always drink them when it’s super cold in the morning. Instead, I like to sauté kale, spinach, and chard to make a veggie-heavy scramble. You can use eggs, tofu, beans or whatever protein you enjoy in the morning, just add a few more greens to it. Starting the day with veggies often inspires me to be more intentional about getting in veggies throughout the day.

Today’s affirmation: I accept health as a natural state of my being

Take a few moments in the morning or when you get home today to focus on your breath. Place one hand on your heart, one hand on your belly. Breath in the affirmation, “I accept health as a natural state of my being” and feel the affirmation as it settles on your body.
