A Healthy Version of the Unicorn Frappucino

You know that pink and blue frizzy drink that you keep seeing on your social media feeds? Well, from the moment I first saw it, I thought “I could totally make a healthy version of that!” and so, I did!

I knew that piptaya was a perfect option for the bright pink smoothie, and then learned that beet root would be a perfect red sprinkle on top. I wanted to incorporate honey to drizzle the sides of the cup, but I wasn’t sure how to color the honey. I originally planned on using spirulina to color the drizzle, but then finally settled on matcha. And I when I finally got the creation down, I was super pleased with the delicious and colorful results! Best of all, the smoothie is loaded with nutrients and free of artificial chemicals!

Step by step how to make a healthy Unicorn Smoothie:

Step One: Make the green drizzle. Combine 1 TBS of honey with 1/4 tsp. Matcha powder in a small bow. Mix Well

Step Two: Use a spoon and slowly drizzle green honey mix into glass that you will be drinking out of.

Step Three: Make the pink smoothie.
Blend: 1 smoothie packet of Pitaya, 1/2 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk (or milk of choice), and 1 banana.

Step Four: Pour pink smoothie into glass

Step Five: Top with whipped cream of choice and sprinkle with beet powder (or natural sprinkles of choice)

I really hope you enjoy the smoothie and that it can help brighten up your week!

With love,
