Happy Friday! I feel like this was one of the weeks that just flew by!
When things get busy, or simply routine just settles in, I find three important things start to slip out of my priorities: mindful meals, eating vegetables, and taking time to journal. Since reading Katie Dalebout’s book Let it Out, I’ve been feeling the pull to re-kindle my love of journaling. Journaling has been such a healing practice for me, but it can also be something that I loose habit of once things get busy. Which is really the opposite of what I need, because when things get busy, mindfulness and journaling are exactly what I need.
Something that has helped me slow down for a few moments is to just bring everything back to basics. Remind myself of the things that have helped kick-start my wellness routines, and the ones that allow me to slow down and enjoy the moment.
Today I wanted to share my first and favorite green smoothie recipe. This is what started off my love for green smoothies, and still doesn’t get old even today! It’s easy and only three ingredients, and is a great way to get in an extra serving of green veggies.
Back to Basics Green Smoothie
1 frozen banana
1/4-1/2 cup almond milk
1-2 handfuls spinach
Bled well and enjoy!
What are your favorite ways to come back to the moment? I’d love to hear in the comments below!
