Super Simple Homemade Green Tea Ice Cream

Green tea ice cream has always been a big favorite of mine. With the desert heat of summer, I’ve found myself constantly craving ice cream and smoothies, and I went on a big hunt to find green tea ice cream in stores around. (Side note: I really didn’t look hard to find it, it justΒ happened to not be in grocery stores I was shopping at forΒ like two weeks) I was disappointed when I was unable to find what I was looking for, so I decided to create green tea ice cream of my own. One that only contained whole foods, and was super easy to make.

This ice cream is just a variation on the classic (and my personal favorite) banana “nice-cream.” It only has three ingredients and takes less than five minutes to make.

Just blend up all the ingredients, and you’re left with a creamy-delicious treat that is full of antioxidants and pure bliss. No chemicals or harsh ingredients necessary. Just pure, whole food goodness.

Green Tea Ice Cream

1 banana, diced and frozen

1/4 cup (or just a splash depending on preferred texture) coconut milk

1/2 tsp matcha green tea powder (I got mine from Whole Foods)

Place all ingredients in a blender, blend and enjoy! I recommend using a little less liquid so you’re left with more of an ice cream texture, but you can also add more liquid to make a smoothie.
