I hope you have had a wonderful week and that you are ready to have an amazing weekend, whatever it is that you’re doing. I’m super stoked because I will have a three day weekend, before returning to Wilderness Therapy guiding on Tuesday. Whoop whoop!
1). So, first on my list of things I’m loving this week is definitely getting ready to go back on trail.
Though there’s obviously a lot of things I get nervous about, I’m excited to go back to a company I love and be among people I adore. Wilderness therapy guides are some of the most amazing people I’ve ever met. Plus, having 6 days off in a row is really great for opening up time to adventure.
2). It felt really awesome to put out a guest post on Amanda’s blog. I have to admit I was nervous to share a post that felt so vulnerable. However, I also felt really compelled to share it. If you haven’t checked it out yet, give it a read here.
3). I also loved spending some extra time journaling and on my yoga mat this week. Whenever I’m feeling out of whack or in need of grounding/getting into my body, I go to my mat. Some of my most powerful realizations have occurred on my yoga mat.
4). Reading Brene Brown’s The Gifts of Imperfection has been really insightful. Her work honors the idea of talking about your vulnerability and shame rather than letting it build up and fester. By allowing this stuff to not hold you back, you are open to living a more wholehearted and authentic life, imperfections and all. Reading this book has been a great reminder to tap into those uncomfortable feelings rather than trying to numb out.
