Big title, small post.
I did a journaling exercise last night surrounding the concept that you CAN do anything you want. It felt very powerful and freeing for me. The prompt for this exercise was to imagine the best possible outcome in every area of life. That was it. No rules. You can do this for a set time: a week, a month, a year, whatever feels right to get even more clear on what this means for you. Just think about the most ideal place you could be, where there is nothing holding you back.
It’s easy to get bogged down thinking about all the things that can go wrong or get in the way of your dreams. It felt really good to just write as if that isn’t the case, and to get more clear on what kind of life I want to lead.
That’s kind of what this year of post-grad life is about for me. Getting a clear vision on what I want my life to look and feel like. In all areas of life, but the real hard one for me right is the area of career. It’s good to reconnect into what I want to spend my work doing, and how I want to spend my days.
This exercise is a gentle reminder that we are in control of the lives we lead, and are not the victims of it.
So, my challenge for you this week is to visualize. See how it feels to visualize the best outcome in every area of your life. What does it look like? What does it feel like? How can you get there?
