I often want to write trial instead of trail, but no I am not going on trial I am going back on trail. As in, I am going back to being a Wilderness Therapy Guide. Or really, an Adventure Therapy Guide, because we go backpacking but also rock climbing, repelling, and mountain biking.
Call it what you want.
The jest of my job: I work on trail (backpacking, camping, rock climbing, mountain biking, etc) for 8 days, and then I have 6 days off. I work mostly with adolescents, but also some adult students over a multitude of issues: drug/alcohol addiction, self esteem, depression, cutting, suicide ideation/attempts, failure to launch, lack of motivation, over rigidity, there’s really so much. Humans are so unique and our problems are even more so.
Why am I telling you, my few and fabulous readers, this? Because it will have an impact on my blogging. My goal is to continue my schedule of writing six days a week (Sunday-Friday ) and just have the posts prepared ahead of time. I’m hoping that will be sustainable, but I will be sure to let you know if that is going to change.
What you can expect: more beautiful scenery pictures of the state of Utah, probably more posts about self-care and communication, and some outdoor-themed posts. I will continue to write about healthy living and wellness and hopefully soon will post yoga sequences.
If you have anything you would like to see more of, please let me know!!! I want to put the kind of content out there that you want to read!
I also wanted to keep you in the loop of what’s going on in my life, and if I don’t respond to a comment for a week it’s not because I don’t care it’s because I am in the Wilderness therapatizing teens.
SO much love,
