I feel so honored to have been nominated by two incredible bloggers: Megan at Nourishing Eden and Day to Day with M & A– Definitely check out these two blogs as they are absolutely incredible! You can read more about what the Liebster Award is here. The basic rundown is that it is a way to connect with other bloggers. When you are nominated, you are asked a bunch of questions, and then you nominate 10 other bloggers and ask them questions. It’s a fun way to get to know other bloggers, share the work of other blogs, and write a little more about yourself.

Here are the questions I was asked (I mixed the questions from Megan and M&A)

1. Why did you start your blog?

I’ve been wanting to start a blog for a few years now, but didn’t know if I was qualified enough to write one. Finally I decided my voice and story is so worth sharing, and I’ve been loving it! I know blogs were (and continue to be) very helpful/encouraging/healing to read. I love reading things that inspire me to love myself and those around me more deeply. I also love the idea of shining light and love to as many people as possible.

2. What is your favorite quote?

3. Do you have a mantra you live by?


Feel the fear and do it anyway


It always seems impossible until it is done.

4. Do you have any morning rituals?

I’m all about starting out my day with love. It’s so important to me to start my day on a loving and healthy note. First thing when I wake up I drink some water and make my bed. Then I usually dry brush my skin and move my body in some way, usually it’s barre or yoga but sometimes just a walk, and read something inspiring. Then I’ll do a meditation and if I have the time, I love to dance, and journal to set an intention to my day. I also love drinking warm water with lemon (and so much water) to get my body fired up for the day!

5. Who inspires you?

I’m super inspired by women who are self-made and fearlessly going for their dreams. Some of my biggest inspirations right now are Katie Dalebout and Amanda Gyuran (incredible ladies!) as well as Ella Woodword and Angela Liddon, women who not only taught themselves to cook and eventually wrote the most amazing cookbooks ever, but also shed so much light and love into the world.

4). What is one thing you would like to learn how to do?


Make money traveling the world. Or, aerial yoga.

5). What are your guilty pleasures?


Chocolate, homemade cookies, and shopping

6). What is a superpower you wish you had?

Superhuman kindness (and patience)– I’ll admit to stealing the idea of superhuman kindness from my favorite yoga teacher, but I love the idea!

7). What is one word that describes you?

8). What is one thing you miss from your childhood?

Climbing trees on a daily basis, and building forts.

9). What is your favorite clothing item?

Leggings. Always! It’s been weird to transition from basically only wearing leggings to now wearing real pants at work. As soon as I get home in the evenings, it’s back to leggings. I think this picture accurately describes my love of leggings:


9). What is your favorite season?


I always say Fall (probably because my birthday is in the fall!) but honestly I feel so ready for each season as it comes up. At the moment, I’m so in love with spring and renewal!

10). Must have beauty product?

Oils. I love Annemarie oils, and also just plain sesame seed oil for my face. My skin is always pretty dry, so it’s so great to have something to both cleanse and hydrate my skin.
