I hope you had a wonderful weekend and your Monday is off to a fantastic start! After a long week last week full of challenges and some really difficult news, I used this past weekend as a time to rest and re-charge. I was able to spend a lot of time listening to inspiring podcasts, going for walks, checking out new yoga classes, and spring cleaning my closet. When you are working in a job that requires giving off a lot of energy, it’s so critical to fill yourself back up.
My intention for this week: Be the LIGHT
Shine out! As this past year in my life continues to show me, there is enough darkness in the world already; there is no need to add to it. The world needs your light, your smile, your love, your passion, and your authentic truth.
You never know how much those around you are suffering. How much pain my be left unseen.
My mission for the week: Shine as much love and light onto those around me as possible. I mean this mission to include myself as well. This means saying kind things to myself, smiling at strangers, asking how people are, taking time to truly listen to those around you, while also tuning into yourself and what you need.
It’s easy to get caught up in the chaos, the exhaustion, the mundaneness in the week. You hear all about pain and greed and evil on the news. Despite all of this, there is still so much good out there.
There really is SO much good. So much light. So much love.
The world needs to recognize and see that, because so often the darkness can take over and consume us. I know from my own experience and in my work in wilderness therapy and yoga, people can overcome even the darkest of situations. Things can and do get better. Love is all around, and there are so many resources and people around if you need a hand or a listening ear. You just need to look for it and ask for help.
We have to be able to see the love and light that fills up the world! Being able to see all the love and light around starts with you and me. It’s our mission to be vehicles for extending love and light. To bring the kind of love that refuses to let darkness take over. To be the kind of light and loving person that everyone around can’t help but notice.
We can bring that light to those around us, and to the world at large.
It all starts by shining light and love on yourself.
How are you going to shine light to yourself and those around you this week?
So much love to all of you,
