I’m so excited to close out my first week of work, but am especially excited because I leave tonight to go to Cali for the weekend! I’m thrilled to take a short trip and spend a little time with my boyfriend and his family before I won’t see him for a few months.
In usual Friday fashion, here’s some things that I have been loving this week:
This album has seriously been a bright and grounding light to my mornings. It has a way of feeling calm, yet upbeat and is just a really pleasant way to start the day. I know I’m a little late to the party, as this has been out a while, but I highly recommend checking it out 🙂
Okay, my picture doesn’t give this smoothie any justice, but adding fresh mint leaves and raw cacao to avocado in a blender does some really magical things. This was so tasty, so satisfying, and even rather filling. Talk about having cravings taken care of! You can hit up her Facebook page to get the scoop on the recipe.
Natural Calm Magnesium Supplement
Speaking of reducing craving, this week I tried Natural Calm Magnesium to help with chocolate cravings, and I found it super useful. Maybe not the best tasting thing in the world, but it helps to increase magnesium if you seem to have low levels (which could be indicated by constant chocolate cravings, but it really depends on the person).
This healing miso soup:
This healing, immune boosting, miso soup is full of crazy goodness including garlic, miso, mushrooms, turmeric, onion, kale, soybeans, ginger and cayenne pepper. I have been worried about getting sick being around kids all day, so this has been a nice meal in the evenings to keep my immune system boosted. Plus, it really is delicious!
